Ski mask

I made something new for my dil and then I made one for me.  I have decided I look like a ninja.  It might have something to do with it being made in a dark color but probably more to do with my being Asian!

Now my nephew wants one in black.

Sharon's jacket

In January 2014 my machine knitting buddy gave me a jacket to finish for her.  I just finished adding a lace trim on it today during lunch at work.  It took me eleven months to get to it and four days of work/fun to finish it.

The body is machine knit and the trim is hand knit in Lion Brand bulky suede.  Now I want one for me.

Cushaw squash - 35 lbs.

The garden grew some huge cushaw squash.  I'd never seen one much less tasted one.  One was 35 lbs. and one was 24 lbs.  I had wanted to enter the 35 pounder in the fair but the wet soil after an especially rainy week caused the bottom of it to rot so I had to harvest it.  It is delicious.  I'll have to plant more next year.  I'll post pictures, hopefully, later.  I put them on a set of scales to show their weight.

I applied and was accepted to be a vender at the Kernersville, NC Honeybee Festival http://kvhoneybee.com/ on August 23, 2014 from 10am - 5 pm.  I have a new product to debut.  My daughter will join me with her crocheted market bags like this one http://byhaafner.blogspot.cz/2013/07/and-off-to-market-i-went.html.

I will have button bracelets, knit scarves, ribbon embroidered towels and more.
